JIM-ISAAC CHUA is a Filipino-American pianist. He has given concerts in the USA, Canada, Austria, France, Italy, Poland, and in the countries of Southeast Asia, where he took part in numerous radio and television programs. He has been awarded in numerous international piano competitions in the USA, France and Austria.
In 2009, he gave his solo debuts at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) and the Kościuszko Foundation in New York.

In 2010, he performed his first concert tour organized on the occasion of Chopin’s 200th anniversary by Polish organizations on the West Coast of the United States (Seattle, Portland, San Diego) which was followed by re-invitations in 2011.

Since 2014, he has been regularly invited to perform in Southeast Asia – recitals and lectures in Manila, Quezon City, Cagayan de Oro, Makati, Cavite, Jakarta, Tangerang, Mandalay, and Yangon. In the Philippines, particularly, he has been invited to almost every music school and university to give concerts, masterclasses, and workshops; additionally, he has also been a regular guest on the radio station 98.7 DZFE „The Master’s Touch“. Near the end of the pandemic in 2021-2022, he resumed performances and performed all across Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Rzeszow, Szczecin, Sosnowiec, and Tarnowskie Góry). His April 2022 performance in Szczecin was heavily praised: “an amazing feast for the ears . . . he created such an amazing atmosphere, or rather such a variety of climates – and horror, and love acts” -Szczecin Radio. It was also this time that he was invited to perform three solo recitals in Vienna Gesellschaft für Musiktheater with the Philippine Embassy in Vienna and the U.S. Embassy in Vienna present. In Washington, USA, he gave a full-house concert for the Arc of Tri-Cities raising around $10,000 USD for people needing special needs. Dave Clark wrote, “a model of artistic perfection in every respect . . . from Bach to Ravel, his treatment was precisely in context–but, of course, with his own individual flair. Such is the mark of a truly great musician.”
Currently, he continues regular consultation lessons with Prof. Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska and Prof. Mateusz Borowiak. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music in New York (Prof. Nelita True), Vancouver Academy of Music (Prof. Lee Kum Sing), and the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music (Prof. Zbigniew Raubo and Prof. Maria Szwajger-Kulakowska).
